Pastor Jim Barret

It is my privilege to have served as the Lead Pastor since January, 1997 (to August, 2024). Prior to my ministry here I served at the First Baptist Church in Hastings, MI from 1984-1996. I began my ministry at the Calvary Baptist Church in Norwalk, OH, serving there from 1981 – 1984. I grew up in Amherst, Ohio where my father pastored the Faith Baptist Church for 36 years.

Beth and I have been married since 1981 and have two children Katie and Kaleb. Along with my duties at the church I also serve with two different counties as a special deputy as police chaplain and a rescue and recovery diver. I also founded two other ministries, Wilderness Adventure and Action Ministries LLC. My hobbies are golfing and hunting.
